Obituary

Robert E. "Bob" Busch, 81, Minot, formerly of Williston, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in a Minot Hospital.

Bob was born June 2, 1933 at Minot, North Dakota the son of Edward R. and Olga (Klimple) Busch. He was raised on the family farm near Sawyer and attended country schools in that area. He assisted with the operation of the family dairy farm during his younger years and was employed with Gust Kalk Construction locally. Bob was once married to Vera Jones in 1953. From this union, four daughters were born. Bob built a home near the Busch family farm south of Sawyer. He took over the operation of the farm from his parents and they lived there until 1973, when he retired from farming.

Bob moved to Williston in the early 1980's. He was employed in the construction industry working in the area doing various home improvement jobs in the community. He was united in marriage to Darlene (Evans) Parisien in 1982. They continued to live in Williston throughout the years. Darlene died February 27, 2014. Bob moved to Minot in April of this year.

Bob was a baptized and confirmed member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sawyer. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards and bingo, along with dancing with Darlene. He was a member of the Williston Moose Lodge and enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings games.

Bob's family includes, children, Debbie (Mike) Collins, Puyallup, WA, Cynthia (Mike) Schmitcke, Minot and Pamela (Kent) Wurgler of Minot; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; step-children, Michael Parisien, Williston, Todd (Alberta) Parisien, Williston, Greg (Tammy) Parisien, Minot and Rhonda (Terry) Boyd, Parker, CO; 9 step grandchildren; 9 step-great grandchildren; sisters, Connie Swensrud, Minot, JoAnn (Donald) Hauf, Max, Darlene (Kenneth) Hauf, St. Petersburg, FL, Sandra (Wayne) Billings, Concord, NC and Diann Busch, Minot; brother, Leo (Karen) Busch, Ontario, OR; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob also had two new friends that we would like to thank, his caregivers Sandy Kroll and Angelita Martinez.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Darlene, an infant son and a step-son, Perry.

Funeral service : Monday, December 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sawyer.
Interment: St Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Sawyer.
Visitation: Sunday from Noon-5:00 pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: preferred to St. Peter's Cemetery Association Fund.
