Robert T. "Bob" Bossert, Sr., 82, Fargo, formerly of Minot, passed away June 3, 2017, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Robert was born to Michael and Emma (Burkholtz) Bossert in McIntosh, South Dakota on October 26, 1934. Robert graduated from McIntosh High School in 1953. He was united in marriage to Joy Bieber on June 1, 1955.

Robert worked as a bricklayer for 30 years for various contractors in Williston and Minot. His last 10 years, prior to retirement, he was employed as a craftsman in Civil Engineering at Minot Air Force Base. Prior to moving to Fargo, they lived at 425 26th St NW in Minot for more than 52 years.

Throughout his life, Robert was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed baseball and later softball playing shortstop into his 50's. He also loved camping, fishing, golfing and spending time with family. After retirement, his favorite pastime was watching his grandkids compete in various sports.

Robert is survived by : his wife of 62 years, Joy; children: Nancy (Les) Gustafson, Monroe, WA; Cindy (Don) Speare, Grand Forks, ND; Bob Jr. (Barb) Bossert, Minot, ND; Linda (Jay) Mar, Johnston, IA; Bryan (Pam) Bossert, Fargo, ND; Jason (Kim) Bossert, West Fargo, ND; 19 grandchildren to include: Lisa (Bob), Travis, Joy, Kim (Jack), Naomi (Luke), Amanda (Tom), Jordan, Dustin (Kellie), Kasey, Bridget (Clancy), Teddy, Tanner, Aaron, Nathan (Patricia), Ryan (Melissa), Andrew, Tyler, Dalton, Colten; and 9 great grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, father, 6 siblings, and 1 great grandson.

Funeral service: Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11:00 am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation: one hour prior to the service in the Church.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Garden in Fargo.
