Robert W. "Bob" Booth , 82, Rural Sawyer, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in a Minot Healthcare Center.

Bob was born February 25, 1928 on the family farm South of Sawyer, ND, the son of Vance and Alma (Schoenwald) Booth. He was raised on the family farm and attended schools at Sawyer, graduating from Sawyer High School in 1946.

Bob was united in marriage to Dolores Ann Hanson on September 25, 1949 at Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva. They made their home on the farm that Bob's grandparents had homesteaded in 1882.

They farmed small grains and raised cattle, and have continued to live on the same farm, east of Sawyer in Ward County, throughout these past many years.

Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Minot. He had served on the Sawyer School Board, Sawyer Township Elevator Board and was a member of the ND Farm Bureau. He had been recognized by the Ward County Soil Conservation Board as a Centennial Farm and and was a three time winner for soil conservation practices.

His loving family includes : Wife of sixty years, Dolores; Children, Susan (Jeff) Hill, Rural Sawyer, Debra (Bruce) Sanderson, Rural, Sawyer, John (Jan) Booth, Grand Junction, CO; Six Grandchildren, Eleven Great-Grandchildren, Seven Step-Grandchildren; Sister, Lila Mae (Robert) Schlecht, Longview, WA, Sisters-in-law: Carole Ann Booth, Kerrville, TX & Joann Booth, Longview, WA.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Cecil, Don and Edward Booth.

Funeral service : Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Minot.
Interment: Velva Community Cemetery.
Visitation: Friday from 3:00-7:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
