Ricky Ray Banning, 59, Logan died on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in his home from natural causes.

Ricky was born on March 8, 1957 in Bismarck, ND to Marlowe and Luella (Reinke) Banning. He was reared and educated in Flasher and Minot where the family moved in 1968. He graduated from Minot High School in 1976 and received specialized training in welding at Lake Region Junior College. As a young adult he was employed as an ironworker for the local union. Later, he was employed as a bus driver for Bell School and Northland Bus and by Rolac Construction. Most recently, he was employed in the Maintenance Department of the Grand Hotel.

He especially enjoyed hunting and tinkering.

Ricky is survived by his siblings: Lynn Kokot of Minot, David Banning of Powell WY and Frank (Judy) Banning of rural Minot and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ricky was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother-in-law: Walter Kokot and nephews: Dakota Rader and Josh Albers.

Funeral Service: Monday, October 17, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Peace Lutheran Church - Burlington.

Interment: Fairhill Cemetery near Flasher, ND

Visitation: Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
