Richard Charles "Rick" Rayburn , age 48 of Hillsboro, died Monday, May 12, 2014 in Minot, North Dakota in a work related accident.

He was born April 24, 1966 in Hillsboro the son of Dale Richard and Diana (Smith) Rayburn of Hillsboro. Mr. Rayburn was a construction worker and had owned and operated Rick's Upholstery in Hillsboro for over twenty years.

He is survived by his parents, sons, Christopher (Miranda) Rayburn of Peebles, Chaz Rayburn of Hillsboro, grandson, Brandon Rayburn, stepson, C. J. Bartlett of Hillsboro, stepdaughters, Jessica Wood-Forsythe of Alabama, Jessica Bartlett of Washington CH, sister, Kim (Michael) Lee-Banks of Lynchburg, brothers, Roger (Tracy Sexton) Rayburn of Hillsboro, Michael (Melanie) Rayburn of Peebles and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Mabel Lewis and Richard Rayburn, maternal grandparents, Estie and Hazel Smith, brother-in-law, Richard Lee and nephew, Patrick Lee.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Burial will follow in the Strange Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
