Richard "Dick" Goldade , 85, Minot, formerly of Bismarck and Harvey, died Friday, October 16, 2020 in a Velva nursing care center.

Dick was born February 19, 1935 at Harvey, North Dakota the son of Peter and Magdalena (Lesmeister) Goldade. He was raised and educated in the Harvey area and attended country schools there. He moved with his family to Esmond and they later moved to Bismarck. He received his GED and went to work at the Coca-Cola Plant in Bismarck. He enlisted with the U.S. Army on January 20, 1954 and honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict. He received his honorable discharge on January 10, 1957 and remained with the Army Reserves until December 31, 1961. He graduated from Capital Commercial College in Bismarck in 1959.

Dick was united in marriage to Marilyn Kluck on August 30, 1958. They made their home in Bismarck where he was employed with Bismarck Ready Mix before becoming employed at Dakota National Bank for several years. While working there he also attended Bismarck Junior College. They moved to Valley City, where he was employed as a Bank Examiner. They returned to Bismarck, where he was employed with Northern Improvement for six years.

In 1973, they moved with their two children to Minot, where he worked for Porter Brothers for two years as office manager and later with EK Williams and Co. and D & M Bookkeeping. He retired in 2001. Marilyn died March 23, 2017. He entered the Souris Valley Care Center in December of 2017.

Dick was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Minot, where he served as the Church Treasurer and was involved in a number of other activities within the Church. He had enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and woodworking.

His loving family includes , children, Carla (Randy) Carlson, Minot and Elon (Lydia) Goldade, Olathe, KS; 6 grandchildren to include: Melita (Travis) Dalby, Darryl (Andrea) Cross, Timothy (Carissa) Cross, Christopher Carlson, Kala (Andrew)Elliott, & Bryce (Sydney) Goldade; great grandchildren, Jesse & Tyler Dalby, Peyton & Henley Cross, Jillian, Ruby & Libby Cross; siblings: Irene Gefroh, Yakima, WA, Lorraine Graff, Bismarck, ND, Marian (Clayton) Timpke, Union Gap, WA and Sally Sexton, Kennewick, WA; sister in law, Angie Goldade, Minot; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marilyn, great grandchild, Emilee Nicole Dalby; brothers, Henry & Leo; sisters, Angie, Adeline and Alice; brothers in law, Wendelin Grossman, Leo Gefroh, Alton Graff and Gordon Sexton.

Celebration of Life Service : Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in First Church of the Nazarene, Minot. Due to the Covid, please utilize social distancing guidelines; masks are preferred.

Visitation : Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment : Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot with Military honors accorded by the ND Army National Guard and the American Legion.
