Richard D. Faul, 81, Minot, died Saturday, November 2, 2019 in a Minot nursing home.
Richard was born December 10, 1937 in Minot, ND to John and Louise (Vix) Faul. He was raised and educated in Sawyer during his youth.
Richard farmed small grains near Sawyer for three decades. Prior to farming, he was an over the road truck owner/operator for 25 years.
Richard and Lorraine were married July 4, 1982 in Sawyer. They have called Minot home since their marriage. He retired in the late 1990's.
Richard was a member of the Mennonite Church in Sawyer and later attended the Southside Church of the Nazarene in Minot. He enjoyed watching Minnesota Twins baseball, old westerns, the Gaither Gospel Hour and spending time with his grandsons. Richard was known to frequent Renee's Korner Café in Sawyer or Schatz's Truck Stop for a hot cup of coffee and a visit with friends. He will be deeply missed by all who shared in his life.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lorraine, Minot; stepchildren Michael (Tanya) Stebbins, Coleharbor, ND, Faye Ann Stebbins, Minot, Shirley (Neal) Repnow, Underwood, ND, Lori (Jay) Frothinger, Burlington, ND, Melanie (Scott) Geiger, Minot, ND and Merri (Ron) Milke, Eden Prairie, MN; 8 step grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Faul, Minot; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, stepgrandson Jason Frothinger, sister and brother-in-law, Luella and Louie Herr and brother Reuben Faul.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2019 at Southside Church of the Nazarene, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation: Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to organizations devoted to a cure for diabetes or an organization of your choice.
