Richard A. "Rick" Anderson, 63, Cathay, ND, died Monday, February 18, 2019 at Trinity Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Rick was born on January 1, 1956 at Linton, ND,  the son of Norman and Jeanne (Browman) Anderson. He graduated from Powers Lake High School and attended the University of ND in Grand Forks. He was united in marriage to Michele King in 1978 at Williston. From this union they had two daughters, Alisa and Carly.

Throughout his working years, Rick was primarily employed with North Dakota Rural Water, working in Alexander, Langdon and most recently as manager in the Fessenden office.

In addition to spending time with his family, Rick could be found hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking or outside in his yard or garden.

Rick is survived by : his wife of 41 years, Michele Anderson, Cathay; daughters, Alisa (Shayne) Woolverton, Langdon; Carly (Frederick) Roberts, Minot; grandchildren, Noah, Mykei, Zoey, Parker; Jayden and Jett; sister, Corrine (Maynard) Novlesky, Minot; brothers, William (Kristy) Anderson, Fargo, ND & Norman (Susan) Anderson, Fargo, ND; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Bud Herseth, whom taught Richard all about the outdoors; brothers, Bradford and Michael Anderson.

A private family service and visitation was held in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
