The Reverend Susan Tremont, 53, Minot, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012.
Susan was born on October 22, 1958 in Rochester, New York to Raymond and Audrey (Springle) Tremont. She was raised and educated in Rochester, graduated from John Marshall High School in 1976 and attended Monroe Community College.
Susan enlisted as an airman in the U.S. Air Force in 1979. She was stationed at various Air Force bases throughout the world and served in Operation Desert Storm. She retired from the Air Force as a Technical Sergeant in 1999 at Minot Air Force Base.
Following her honorable discharge she was employed at the Souris Valley Animal Shelter before establishing Tremont's Pet Sitting Service in 2001.
More recently she had satisfied the requirements of the Independent Christian Clergy Association to become a minister.
Rev Sue was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She was active in the Souris Valley Animal Shelter, French Bulldog Rescue Network and Triple H Miniature Horse Rescue. She was also a member of Action Agility, Pet Sitters International, The American Legion, and The Women's Memorial Foundation. Sue's passion was to love and care for all animals, especially her three babies: Abby, Edward and Tucker.
Rev Sue is survived by her special friend Jill Roloff of Minot; mother Audrey (Ken) Ross of Lakeland FL; sister Elizabeth (Tom) Montana; niece Rachel; and nephew Matthew of Houston TX; best friend Tina Mullen of Rochester NY; uncle Paul (Dorothy) Tramonto & family of Rochester; cousin Rick (Eileen) Tramonto & family of Chicago IL; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends.
Susan was preceded in death by her father Raymond, an infant brother Richard David, and grandmother Eliza Lotz.
Funeral service Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 11:00AM in All Saints Episcopal Church Minot, The Reverends Mary Johnson and Jackie Bernacchi as officiating clergy.
Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park Minot.
Visitation: Monday from 2:00pm 7:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot.
In lieu of plants and flowers memorials are preferred to the Souris Valley Animal Shelter or to the Triple H Miniature Horse Rescue.
