Renata Lynn Lucier, 52, Rural Minot, died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at her home surrounded by family.
Renata was born March 16, 1967 at Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Ronald and Joan (Anderson) Lucier. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1985. During her younger years, she was employed as a CNA at Trinity Homes and furthered her education attending New Town College, receiving her Licensed Practical Nursing degree.
Throughout the years she was employed at Trinity Hospital, ManorCare and most recently at Trinity Homes as the charge nurse in the Alzheimer's unit, where she enjoyed caring for "her" people. She recently retired due to her fight against cancer.
Renata was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot. She enjoyed outdoor activities including: car races, bon fires, demolition derbies, State Fair concerts and hosting summer pool parties.
Renata is survived by her high school sweetheart and longtime companion of 36 years, Troy Kuglin, Minot; children, Jamie Lucier and Jerzie Kuglin, both Minot; father, Ron Lucier and his wife, Pat of Minot; mother in law, Deb (Jerry) Mahoney, Minot; brother, Rick (Missy) Lucier, Burlington, ND and his children, Kali and Karsyn Lucier; sisters- in law, Leticia Kuglin and daughter Chelsi Norenberg both of Grand Forks, ND and Stacy Kuglin, Minot and her children, Krysta and Kody Mock, Grand Forks, ND; numerous great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Renata was preceded in death by her mother, Joan; grandmother Marion Anderson; father in law, LeRoy; niece, Kayla Jo and uncle, Daren. Also preceding her were her great grandmother, Roseann Lucier, aunts and uncles to include; Virgil Lucier, Jim and Heather Anderson, Dave Anderson, Barbara Anderson, Donna Lucier Smith and Claude Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Vigil Prayer service: Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Visitation: Thursday, June 13th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers or plants the family prefers memorials to the Minot Chapter of Alzheimer's Association.
