Raymond Donald Moe, 83, Minot and formerly of rural Foxholm died on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in a Minot nursing home.

Raymond was born on April 28, 1926 on the family farm in Evergreen Township of Ward County near Berthold, ND to Chris and Olive (Jesme) Moe. He was reared there and on a farm in Mayland Township of Ward County near Foxholm, ND. He graduated from Carpio High School in 1944 and attended North Dakota State University during the Winter for several years. As a young adult he assisted on the family farm.

Raymond married Ruth Banna on January 6, 1957 in Minot. They made their home on the Moe family farm where they raised small grains and cattle and reared their three adopted children. They retired from farming in 1984 and moved to Minot in 1986 and resided at 2215 5th Ave. N.W. Raymond had been a resident of Trinity Homes since July of 2008.

Raymond was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church - Minot and a former member of Carpio Lutheran Church where he served on the church council. Also, he was a member of the Farmers Union, Moose Lodge and served as secretary of the Mayland Township Board. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Raymond's loving family includes his wife of 52 years Ruth; children: Mark Moe and Wayne Moe both of Minot and Patricia (Tom) Monilaws of Absaraka, ND; grandchildren: Matthew and Megan; sister: Marion Fredrickson of Minot and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Clarice Hubsky and brothers: Burton and Manfred Moe.

Funeral Service: Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church - Minot.
Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Visitation: Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church- Minot or Carpio Lutheran Church.
