Ramona Bossert, 86, Minot died Monday, April 03, 2017 in a Minot hospital.
Ramona Toy was born on August 14, 1930 in Albertville, WI to Ira and Eleanor (Boushack) Toy. During her younger years, she was raised and educated in Wisconsin until moving to Drake with her family.
Ramona worked in Drake at the Drake Pharmacy for seven years and later for Dr. Erenfeld in Minot.
Ramona was united in marriage to William Bossert on October 12, 1957 at St. Margaret and Mary Catholic Church in Drake. They moved to Minot in 1957, where Ramona continued her work in the medical field as an employee of White Drug. Later in 1970, she worked for the Minot Public Schools in the lunch program, until she retired in 1996.
Ramona was member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot and more recently enjoyed the services led by Deacon Steve Mays at Edgewood Vista, Minot.
Ramona's hobbies and special interests included reading, crocheting, knitting, gardening and arts and crafts. She once crocheted a doily for every single student at Little Flower Catholic School.
Ramona's family includes: her loving husband of 59 years, William; daughters, Crystal (John) Gilles and Charlene (Dale) Baker, both of Minot; grandchildren, Auburn (Dale) Johnson, Chelsey Watkins, Brandon (Holly) Toy, Wesley Joseph Halseth and Jordan (A.J. Moss) Halseth; step-grandchildren, Paul and Josie Gilles, Allen, James and Joshua (Katlyn) Baker; great grandchildren, Elanna Dayle Johnson, Alexandrew Toy, Abigaile Toy, Samuel Budreau and soon-to-be-here Baby Moss; sisters, Delores Reigel, Marshfield, WI, Alice (Francis) Balmer, Ashland, WI, Joan Pryor, Cedar Hill, TX, Charlane Bertsch, Minot, Janet Hasti, Drake, ND, Teckla (Merle) Shaylor, Vancouver, WA, and Sharyn Bullard, Drake, ND; brother, Charles (Sharon) Toy, Drake, ND; sister-in-law, Linda Toy, Fenton, MI along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, LaRayne Prough and Nellie Harder, brothers Ira and Michael Toy; step-grandson, Vinny DeRocco; sister-in-law, Dorothy Toy and brother-in-laws, Harland Reigel, Gordon Harder, Joseph Pryor, Robert Hargrave, Robert Bertsch, George Hasti and Arthur Bullard.
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Drake City Cemetery later in the Spring 2017
Vigil Prayer Service: Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation : Wednesday, April 5, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
