Ralph G. Groth , 75, Deering, entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, in a Minot hospital.

Ralph was born December 31, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI to Adolph and Helen (Kangas) Groth. He attended school in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Ralph enlisted into the United States Air Force in May 1961 serving his country honorably during the Vietnam War until his discharge in September of 1968 as an Egress Specialist.

At the end of his military service, while attending a computer school in Litchfield Park, Arizona he met the love of his life Jane Thompson. They were united in marriage on February 3, 1968 in Winterhaven, California. Their union would be blessed with three sons and a life that took them to Saudi Arabia on two different occasions with stops in Arizona and California during their professional years. Ralph was employed a large part of his working life as an Egress Specialist and eventually a Human Resources Manager with Lockheed Missiles and Space Company based out of Sunnyvale, CA. He retired in 2003 and moved back to Glendale, Arizona.

In 2010, Ralph and Jane moved to Deering while she was working with the US Census Bureau and after falling in love with North Dakota, they stayed. Ralph was a member of First Assembly of God in Minot and just completed his four-year term as the Mayor of Deering.

Ralph enjoyed golfing and racquetball. Above all else he loved family and vacations were spent visiting those he loved. Ralph had an interest in airplanes and wanted to become a pilot. He will be missed by all who shared in his life.

Ralph's surviving family includes his loving wife of 50 years, Jane Groth, Deering, ND; sons, Scott (Marla) Groth, Kansas City, MO, Kevin (Christina) Groth, Escondido, CA and Chris (Megan) Eger, Rancho Cordova, CA; grandchildren, Stephen Delisle-Groth and Jeremy and Kyndra Eger; great-grandson, Alexander; sister, Ruth (Carroll) Gehrke, Chandler, AZ; brother, Ron Groth, West Allis, Wisconsin along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kay Warner and twin brothers, Robert and Richard Groth.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 26, 2018 at First Assembly of God in Minot.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018, from 3:00 until 6:00 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Trinity Health Foundation.
