With profound sadness, we announce that Rachel M. Kadlec, 26, Bismarck, formerly of Minot passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026. A beloved mother, fiancée, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. Rachel will be remembered for her infectious laugh, beaming smile, kind soul, love for animals and Winnie the Pooh, and ability to make everyone around her happy. The love she had for her family, especially her daughter, spoke true to who she was.

Rachel was born June 28, 2000, in Rolla, ND, the daughter of Neil and Katie (Bell) Kadlec. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Nedrose High School in 2018.

Rachel found her calling when she began working at Sanford Retail Pharmacy in June 2023. In 2024, she became a Certified Pharmacy Technician and absolutely loved her job.

In November 2025, Rachel and Hunter Miller got engaged. They welcomed their beautiful daughter Hadley in January 2026. Hunter and Hadley were the absolute loves of her life.

From the moment we met again, I realized you were the one for me. Your beautiful smile, your kind soul and the way you love has made me feel deeper than I ever thought was possible. Every laugh, every fight and every kiss has deepened my admiration for you. You’re my biggest supporter, my greatest adventure, and the most beautiful girl in the world. You have made me a better person every day that I was lucky enough to share with you. I love you more than anything in this world and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to share the time we did together. I love you baby girl. Until we meet again. Love Hunter.

Rachel leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her fiancé Hunter Miller and daughter Hadley Miller, Bismarck, parents Neil and Katie Kadlec, Minot, brother Tanner Kadlec, Velva, maternal grandparents Nancy and Wayne Bell, and paternal grandparents Audrey and Rodney Kadlec, along with an uncle and numerous aunts and cousins.

Rachel was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal great-grandparents.

A private family gathering will be held at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: In honor of Rachel, the family has established a memorial fund for her young daughter Hadley. In lieu of flowers, plants and other gifts, contributions may be directed to Hadley and Hunter Miller’s memorial savings fund at North Star Credit Union, Minot.
