Phyllis M. 'Tootie' Hudson, 90, Granville, died Friday, August 10, 2012 in a Minot hospital.

Phyllis was born December 10, 1921, in Denbigh, ND, the daughter of John and Edith (Harmon) Kramer. She was raised and educated in Denbigh and graduated from Granville High School with the Class of 1939.

Phyllis was once united in marriage to Charles Allen. This union was blessed with two sons, Myron and Robert. She resided in Granville and Underwood before moving to California, where she met and later married Emmitt Hudson. They made their home in Escondido, CA, and later in Clovis, NM where she assisted Emmitt in the operation of his upholstery and drapery business as a seamstress for many years.

Following Emmitt's death in 1988, she returned to North Dakota, settling in Granville. She remained active in the community as a member of Hope Congregational Church in Granville participating with the ladies aide of the church.

Phyllis enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and canning. She will be missed by all who shared in her life, but fondly remembered for all of her qualities as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Her loving family includes sons, Myron (Janis) Allen, Norwich, ND and Robert 'Bob' (Ronnie) Allen, Cherry Valley, CA; step children, Pearline Tanner, Drumright, OK, and Pauline Wolf, Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Carol Allen, Greg (Melba) Allen, Jeff (Ruth) Allen and Richie (Deb) Allen, all of California; step-grandchildren, Emmitt Hudson and Stephanie Schlott both of California and LaRae (Johnny) Guess of Minot; Numerous great-grandchildren, brother, Lyle Kramer of Denbigh, ND and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt; brothers Ralph, Johnnie and George and sisters, Alice (John) Seright, Lola (David) Bacon and stepdaughters, Sherry Hudson and Johnnie (Gary) Williamson.

Celebration of Life Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Hope Congregational Church, Granville, ND.
Interment: Granville Community Cemetery, Granville, ND.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Hope Congregational Church, Granville, ND
