Obituary

Phyllis Marie Boucher, 78, Minot and Lake Wales, Florida died Friday, December 28, 2012 in a Winter Haven, Florida hospital.

Phyllis was born on July 19, 1934 in Somerville, Massachusetts to John and Catherine (Parrott) Pendergast. She was reared and educated in New Bedford, MA and graduated from Holy Family High School in 1952. As a young adult she was employed at the New Bedford Standard Times as a clerk. She moved to Liberal, Kansas in 1955, where she was employed as a secretary at the Pan Handle East Pipeline Company. She moved to Minot in 1957, where she was employed at KXMC/KCJB and in 1976 she worked for Minot Livestock Auction.

Phyllis married Thomas Charles "Chuck" Boucher on September 11, 1964 in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where she was a fulltime wife, mother to eight children, grandmother to twelve, great grandmother to two, and homemaker. She spent the winter months in Lake Wales, FL for the past twenty years.

Phyllis was a former member of Little Flower Catholic Church and most recently had been attending St. Leo's Catholic Church both in Minot. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales. Phyllis was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over fifty years. She also served on the Bishop Ryan High School Board and was an active volunteer for the Bishop Ryan High School Activities Association. She especially enjoyed crafts and reading.

Phyllis is survived by her loving family that includes, her husband of 48 years, Thomas "Chuck" Boucher; children: Ronald (LaVonne) Boucher of Minot, Jeffrey (Mary) Boucher of Pequot Lakes, MN, Karen (Kevin) Cravens of Waterville, Ohio, Brian Boucher of St. Cloud, MN, Patti (Rick) Aberle of Bismarck, Cheryl (Jay) Pfau of Billings, MT, Thomas (Meredith) Boucher of St. Cloud, MN and Kimberly Boucher of Shakopee, MN; twelve grandchildren: Lindsay Fleming, Nicole Boucher, Brittany Cravens, Ethan Boucher, Aaron Cravens, Megan and Matthew Aberle, Catherine and Josef Pfau, Benjamin, Bethany and Breanna Boucher; two great grandchildren: Harley and Tatum Fleming; siblings: John (Carol) Pendergast of Fairhaven, MA, Jean (George) Quigley of Natick, MA, William (Gail) Pendergast of Cape Coral, FL, Catherine (Richard) Guliano of Naples, FL, Janet (Frank) Kantor of Newburg Park, CA, James Pendergast of Bellingham, MA, Robert Pendergast of New Bedford, MA, Mary (Thomas) Muldoon of New Bedford, MA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation : Sunday, January 6, 2013 from noon until 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service : Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Mass of Christian Burial : Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.
Graveside Service : Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. in the Des Lacs Community Cemetery, rural Des Lacs.
Memorials : In lieu of plants and flowers memorials are preferred to the Bishop Ryan High School Foundation or to Second Story.
