Pearl Quick, 82, Minot and formerly of Butte died on Thursday, January 19, 2012 in Trinity Nursing Home.

Pearl was born on December 10, 1929 near Kief, ND to Emil and Katie (Derheim) Heath. She was reared on farms from McClusky to Butte. Pearl married Allen Volson in October of 1948. They had three children. She enjoyed being outside helping on the farm.

Pearl moved to Minot and in February of 1982 she married Roy Quick. After having various jobs she retired and could be found making many crafts especially plastic canvas projects. Pearl had an outgoing personality, making friends with everyone she met, many that became lifelong friendships. She also has many children she has cared for and she considers them her honorary grandchildren.

Pearl is survived by her children: Arlo (Lonna) Volson and Kathy (Ernest) Sherrill both of Marysville, WA and Steve (Elaine) Volson of Minot; grandchildren: Lytton (Sarah) Volson of Marysville and Julie, Justin and Jennifer Volson all of Minot; great grandchildren: Kayla and Allen Jacob Volson of Marysville, WA; sister: Shirley Crady of Auburn, WA; special aunt: Ruth Nelson of Minot and many nieces and nephews.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and sisters: Lucille Sturman, Lillian Becker and Arlene Gradsmoe.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Southside Church of the Nazarene Minot.

Interment will be in the Butte Cemetery in the spring.

Visitation: Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot.
