Pauline Schweitzer, 86, Minot, formerly of Berthold, died Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in a Garrison nursing home.

Pauline Jones was born December 10, 1933 in Sherwood, ND the daughter of Paul and Goldie (Martin) Jones. She would call Sherwood home during her childhood. Pauline graduated with the Sherwood High School Class of 1951.

Pauline was united in marriage in her hometown to Everett Schweitzer on June 21, 1953. They moved to the community of Berthold, ND in 1962. Pauline found work at Zion Lutheran Church as the office secretary for more than a decade in addition tending to her growing family. In 1980, she joined the banking industry as a teller for Berthold Branch of Bremer Bank. She retired in 1999 after nearly 20 years of service.

Pauline was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Berthold, where she served on council, altar guild, and as a Sunday school teacher. Pauline also was active in church choir and the Zion Lutheran Church Women during her active years. They moved to Minot in February 2018.

Pauline quilted, solved many crossword puzzles, traveled and enjoyed spending time in her garden tending to her flowers. She had a deep love of family her entire life and valued the precious time she spent as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Everett, Minot; children Sandra (Marvin) Heller, Berthold, ND, Shelley (Jay Bexell) Schweitzer, Des Lacs, ND, Jerry (Carolyn) Schweitzer, Minot, ND, Kari (Ron) Hanson, Douglas, ND, Vickie (Dale) Peterson, Carpio, ND and Timothy (Carrie) Schweitzer, Minot, ND; 7 grandchildren, Marcie Heller, Nathen (Becky) Schweitzer, Trevar (Tanya) Schweitzer, Shayne (Amy) Peterson, Danette (Arnel) Onchuck, Becky Schweitzer, Rachael (Aaron) Olson; 13 great-grandchildren, Leah, Kaeden, Ralie; Kian and Ira; Bryce and Myles; Ariana, Danica and Evan and Brody, Kayson and Valerie; siblings Beverly Werner, Sedona, AZ, Marvin Jones and LeRoy Jones, both of Mohall, ND along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, sister Gloria Mayer, brothers-in-law Donald Mayer and Clarence Werner and a nephew Lynn Mayer.

Celebration of Pauline's Life: 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church, Berthold, ND
Interment: Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold, ND (Spring 2020)
Visitation: Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church of Berthold.
