Paul John Storsteen, 83, Minot and Velva died Monday, January 19, 2009 in a Minot hospital.
Paul was born April 20, 1925 in Rapid City, SD, to Reverend Rasmus and Ida (Hoystad) Storsteen.
Paul served in the U.S. Armyfrom 1944-1946. He was a military policeman with the 205th MP Company in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters of Operation. Following his honorable discharge he returned to North Dakota, where he attended the University of North Dakota - Grand Forks and received a degree in accounting.
Paul was united in marriage to Evelyn Kolstad on June 20, 1954 at Crosby, North Dakota, where they made their home for a short period of time. They moved to Minot in 1958, where he was employed by Brady Martz & Associates PC as a CPA, eventually becoming a partner in the operation of that firm until he retired in 1990. Evelyn died September 24, 2005. Paul had resided at the Valley View Manor Assisted Living and Souris Valley Care Center in Velva since 2004.
Paul was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church, Minot. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #26 and Elks Lodge #1089, both of Minot. He especially enjoyed golfing and traveling as well as spending weekends in the summer at his cabin on Lake Sakakawea near Garrison and working on his Packard.
His loving family includes : brothers, Howard (Beverly) Storsteen, Tukwila, WA; Joel (Donna Mae) Storsteen, Churchs Ferry; Reuben Storsteen, Phoenix, AZ; Richard (Charlotte) Storsteen, Devils Lake; Rolf (Shirley) Storsteen, Jamestown; Daniel (Mary) Storsteen, Portsmouth, RI and Harold (Jeanie) Storsteen, Minot as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Bernard and sister, Dorcas.

: Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in First Lutheran Church, Minot;
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot;
Visitation:
Friday from 2:00pmuntil 7:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials
are preferred to Souris Valley Care Center.
