Paul Edwin Olson, 58, Minot, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in a Minot Hospital.
Paul was born April 24, 1956 at Minot, North Dakota, the son of Leonard and Beverly (Korgel) Olson. He was raised and educated in Minot and graduated in 1974 from Minot High School, the first class to graduate from Magic City Campus.
Paul was once married to Wanda Mehus. From this union two children were born, Jesse and Melissa. Paul began working in the construction industry at an early age by assisting his grandfather and father at Olson Construction in Minot. He then went to work for Mackley Construction and was employed with the company for a number of years, eventually serving as the foreman for a time. Paul was employed with the Minot Park District doing construction and maintenance jobs for them. Most recently, he dedicated his time rebuilding his mother's house after the flood in 2011.
Paul enjoyed snowmobiling during his younger years, along with camping, fishing, hunting, nature walks, and watching NASCAR races. He was especially dedicated to work, friends and family.
His loving family includes, children, Jesse Olson, Minot, Melissa Olson, Minot, grandchildren, Kelsey, Colton, Brody and Hayden; companion, Linda Clark, Minot and her children, Darin, Loyal & Brandi and granddaughter, Rainy; mother, Beverly Olson, Minot; sister, Deb Olson (Lloyd) Yantes, Minot.
Paul was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Celebration of Life service:
Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment
: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation
: Sunday from Noon-4:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
