Patrick T. McLaughlin , 72, Indianola, WA formerly of Minot, died June 24, 2023 in his home.

Patrick was born April 4, 1951 in Minot, ND to Patrick H. and Corienne A. (Teigen) McLaughlin.

He grew up in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1969. Patrick enlisted into the US Navy on March 9, 1969. He served his country honorably for the next 21 and half years of his life until his honorable discharge on January 31, 1991 in Bangor, WA.

Following his military service he remained in Washington, residing for the remainder of his life in Indianola. He worked as a roofer for a time and some for a local hardware store. Later years were spent in service and maintenance to a local golf course.

Patrick enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and a refreshing beer.

Surviving family includes his siblings Maureen (Lewis) Hagen, Bozeman, MT and Tim (Donna Loken) McLaughlin, Minot; nephew Andrew (Chelsea) Hagen; nieces Jaime Hagen Evans and Correen (Kameron) Wentz; great nieces and nephews Silvie and Quinn Hagen, Sean and Cassius Evans and Tahlia and Emerson Wentz; and aunts JoAnn Marshall and Peg Hauglie.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sharleen Wentz.

Graveside Service with Military Honors: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023, in the Veterans Section (28) of Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
