Patrick John Keller , 49, Minot, formerly of Granville, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 in a Zion, Illinois Medical Center.
Patrick was born June 22, 1958 at Minot, North Dakota, the son of Tony and Caroline (Heilman) Keller. He was raised on the family farm near Granville, and educated at Granville Public Schools, graduating in 1976. He entered into active duty service with the U.S. Army in 1976, and was stationed at Germany for two years. Upon receiving his honorable discharge in 1979, he began his college education at NDSU Bottineau, and then graduated from Minot State University. Pat continued his military service to his country, by remaining active with the Army Reserve program for more than 20 years.
Pat began his employment with Midwest Federal Savings and Loan in Minot, and continued his work with Minot Telephone Company, Sykes Inc., and most recently with ING Insurance and Annuity as a compliance supervisor. He had also originated and maintained interest in Keller and Associates.
Pat was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, President of the Finance Council and Why Catholic Team leader. He was a member of the MSU Beaver Booster Club, Minot Optimist Club, Granville American Legion, Minot Moose Lodge, Minot Knights of Columbus, and Minot Wine Lover's Club. He was a former member of the Minot Jaycees.
Pat was an active participant in softball, volleyball and basketball. He loved to go bike riding, skiing, fishing and exercise on a daily basis. He enjoyed attending many of his nieces and nephews sporting events, and was also involved in local fantasy football leagues. He loved music of all kinds, from rock n' roll to the symphony.

Pat was preceded in death by his father, Tony Keller; Maternal Grandparents, Walter and Christine Heilman; Paternal Grandparents, John and Anna Keller.
Mass of Christian Burial:
Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 10:30 a.m., in Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service:
Monday at 7:00 p.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church.
Burial
: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation:
Monday from Noon until 4:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot and from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the church.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family prefers memorials to an organization of the donor's choice.
