Patricia Ann Howell, 64, of Minot, North Dakota, and formerly Washington, passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2021 in her home.

Patricia was born May 21, 1956 in Denver, Colorado to Chester and Isabel (Olguin) Howell.  She spent the years of her youth in Denver and California with her 6 brothers and sisters.

Patricia moved to Washington State as a young adult where she was blessed with the birth of two daughters.  She stayed there, first as a homemaker, then a single mom, for over twenty years. In 2001, she moved to Minot, North Dakota where she was blessed with a third beautiful child, Anna, with whom she began a new life, a better life, than the one she left behind.

Patricia worked at Trinity Hospital for many years in the housekeeping department where she made numerous friends.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, listening to Bob Seger, and was an enormous fan of the television series Supernatural (Dean was, of course, her favorite). Patricia was an immense cat lover (she had four: Baby, Zelda, Maxie and Hugo) and adored her grandchildren with all her heart, enjoying phone calls and facetime calls with them, and all the pictures she could get, regretting only that she couldn't spend more time with them in person.

Pat was a unique and beautiful woman, a hard worker, and spent her years attempting to make a better life for herself and her children than the one she herself survived. Although she tried to escape the pain of her past, she was never quite able to let go of it completely. We can only hope that now she has gone on to a better place, to be with her beloved brother Doug, and finally find the peace and happiness she so very much deserved in life. She will be deeply missed by all who truly loved and understood her.

Patricia is survived by her eldest daughter Christine Ann Howell-Merryman and son-in-law Derek Merryman, and grandson Tiberius Merryman, of Bothell, WA; and youngest daughter Anna (Jason Reese) Howell, of Palermo, ND, who was able to spend her childhood as best friends with her mother, enjoying the best years of Pat's life.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Doug and Leslie.
