Patricia Fordahl , 75, Velva, formerly of Minot, died Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the Souris Valley Care Center in Velva, ND where she had been a resident for the last four years.

Patricia Rae was born on March 15, 1948 in Crosby, ND to Oliver and Fern (Loshe) Fordahl. She was raised and educated in Crosby.  As a young adult she resided in Minot and Velva.

Patricia was once married to Norman Bergstad. They made their home in Minot and Velva where they raised their four children. Patricia was employed as a housekeeper at various hotels in Minot including the Thunderbird Motel, Kenway Motel, and the Grand Hotel. Additionally, she was a newspaper delivery person in Velva.

Patricia was a member of the Oak Valley Lutheran Church in Velva. Her hobbies included reading, crossword puzzles, embroidery, partaking in celebrations marking milestones in her families' lives and putting together puzzles. Patricia was known for her good sense of humor and being a generous person.

Patricia is survived by her children: Patty (Jamey) Reiswig of Velva, Melvin (Jenifer) Bergstad of Bismarck, Ole (Lisa) Bergstad of Minot and Lester (Tori) Bergstad of Minot; siblings: Jeanette Hallgren of Williston and Lois Roden of Little Rock, AR as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Carmen, Olive, Eileen, LeRoy, Clifford, Lowell, Florence, Emily, Robert and Juanita.

Celebration of the Life of Patricia Fordahl will be Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel – Minot.
Interment will be in the Summer of 2024 in the Concordia Cemetery – Crosby, ND.
Memorials can be made to the family or to Oak Valley Church in Velva, ND.
