Patricia 'Pat' Buen, 75, Jamestown, formerly of Velva, ND died Monday, April 09, 2018 in a Jamestown long term care facility.

Pat was born January 6, 1943 in Lake Charles, LA to Captain Herbert and Laura (Griffin) Wilson. She grew up in Berthold, ND and graduated from high school with the class of 1961.

Pat was united in marriage to Gene Buen on April 14, 1961 in Palermo, ND. They resided in Minot for a couple of years. Pat worked at First National Bank. They moved to Velva in the fall of 1964.

Pat spent the next two decades of her life as a full-time mother dedicated fully to her children and their activities. Pat returned to the banking world with People's State Bank in Velva working for 25 years, retiring in 2013. Gene passed away May 23, 2015.

Pat was a member of Oak Valley Lutheran Church, where she served as the secretary for 13 years, was involved in Bible school, church circles, ladies' aide and Sunday school over the years. Pat was a longtime member of the Early Bird Homemaker's Club.

Pat enjoyed gardening and took great joy in growing flowers. Baking and sewing were also on the list of her many talents. She loved (most of the time) her role of coach's wife and baseball mom to her own children and the hundreds of young men she traveled thousands of miles to watch every North Dakota summer.

Pat's loving family includes her children, Dianna (Mark) Pollert, Jamestown, ND, Daniel Buen, Williston, ND and David (Renata) Buen, Minot; grandchildren, Ashley (Corey) Eagleson, Trevor (Kari) Pollert and Ella and Everly Buen; great-grandchildren, Coley and Cadence Eagleson; sister, Kathy (Joe) Baber, Garrison, ND; brother, Jim (Sharon) Wilson, Bismarck; mother-in-law, Joyce Buen, Omaha, NE, sister-in-law, Pat Grant, Omaha NE; brother-in-law Ron (Pat) Buen, Victoria, British Columbia, along with many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gene and brother, William Wilson.

Celebration of Life Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Oak Valley Lutheran Church of Velva.
Interment: Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold, ND (Summer 2018)
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home in Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva, Zion Lutheran Church, Berthold or to an organization of the donor's choice.
