Otto Sutter, 86, Minot formerly of Carson California, died Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in a Minot caring home facility, Pro Health Home Care

Otto Sutter was born January 22, 1938, in Sawyer, ND to Edwin and Lydia (Gartner) Sutter. He grew up and was educated in Sawyer, ND.

Otto started work at an early age like most of his era for Great Northern Railroad for a year and then Fisher Motors in Minot for two years.

He enlisted in the US Army in October 1956. Otto served his country honorably until his discharge in August 1959, returning briefly to North Dakota.

Otto moved to California in 1961. He held a position at Reynolds Aluminum for 30 years and retired back to Minot ND

Otto attended Immanuel Baptist Church and was a past member of the Minot Moose Club and Eagles Aerie in California. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, Nascar and taking walks.

Otto is survived by his daughters Brenda Woolfolk of Lakewood, CA and Denise Sutter of Redondo, Beach, CA; brother Allen Sutter, Minot, ND and numerous nieces and nephews.

Otto was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Helen Ellsworth, Ruby Ellsworth and Eileen Tofteland & sister-in-law Karen Sutter.
