Norma Vivian Brenden, 69, 2509 Bel Air Drive - Minot and formerly of Kramer died on Sunday, February 4, 2007 in a St. Louis, Missouri hospital.
Norma was born on December 29, 1937, on a farm near Kramer, ND, to Arthur and Clara (Kaeding) Kiesow. She was raised and educated in Kramer, graduating from Kramer High School in 1955, and from the Bottineau School of Forestry with a degree in business. As a young adult she was employed at the Dakota National Bank of Fargo. Norma married Owen Brenden on August 3, 1963, at Zion Lutheran Church, Kramer, ND. They made their home in Minot where she was employed at Bremer Bank for more than thirty years. She had retired in 1994.
Norma was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, PEO Chapter AG, and the YWCA. She especially enjoyed playing bridge, golf, walking, Church Circle, and was actively involved in her children's and grandchildren's activities.
Her family includes her husband of 43 years Owen; children: Pamela (Kirby) Kelly of Edwards, Colorado, Paul Brenden (special friend Karen Andrews) of St. Louis, Missouri, Heather Brenden (fiancé Joe Snowden) of Farmington, Minnesota, and Heidi (Derek) Selch of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; grandsons: Brenden Selch and Spencer Kelly; sisters: Dorothy (Rueben) Brandt of Riverdale, ND, and Judy (Bill) Andersen of Perham, Minnesota; brother: Gary (Charlene) Kiesow of Wickenberg, Arizona; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service:
Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark's Lutheran Church - Minot.
Interment
will be in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Visitation:
Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to a special fund at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, PEO Chapter AG women's organization, or an organization of the donor's choice.
