Nashdan Forrest "Nash" Podruchny, 19, Minot and formerly of rural Max died on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in a Minot hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Butte.
Nash was born on April 17, 1997 in Minot to Bradley and Jacquelin (Hariper) Podruchny. He was raised and educated in Max and graduated from Minot High School in 2015. While he was a student, he was employed at Qdoba and Olive Garden. For the past eight months, he had been employed by Flying B Construction Company.
Nash was an active member of the First Assembly of God. Attending church was an important part of his life and, throughout the years, he developed relationships with many, many friends that are as close as family.
Nash endured much pain throughout his young life because of severe scoliosis which he often did, as is his nature, with a smile to help make others feel better. He went on many trips to the Shiners Hospital in Minnesota for appointments, brace adjustments, and, ultimately when he was finished growing, a spinal fusion.
Because of his dad, Nash developed an obsession for cars and he eventually became a member of both Minot's Finest Car Club and the Mint Car Club. An especially gifted drummer, he received multiple awards in ND Fine Arts including invitations to nationals. Nash also enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, and skateboarding. Beginning with youth group trips to Bottineau, Nash learned to love snowboarding, too. A passion he was able to enjoy with his brothers.
No matter the activity, Nash loved spending time with family and friends. The younger kids adored him and always sought his attention, which he never tired of giving. He was happy to play! His smile and laugh were contagious. Nash brought joy to a room.
Nash was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Judith Townsend.
