Nancy Jo Parker, 66, lifelong resident of Minot entered eternal life on Sunday, May 9, 2021 in a Minot Hospital.

Nancy was born March 12, 1955 in Minot, North Dakota the daughter of Marvin and Fern (Irwin) DeGree. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High in 1973. During her younger years, Nancy was employed at Bonanza and Radio Shack in Grand Forks. She was once married to James Grueneberg and from this union three children were born, Melissa, Michelle and Michael. During these early years she helped run their family business, Jim's High Tech Auto.

Nancy met Reg Parker at Clear Lake, Manitoba. They were later united in marriage on September 6, 2008 and made their home in Minot to be near their family. Her family was her primary focus throughout the years. She loved hosting holidays and family gatherings. She enjoyed camping at Fort Stevenson and spending "lake time" at Rice Lake. Her grandchildren were the bright stars in her universe and always made special time for phone calls or one on one Grandma Visits.

As her mother grew older she enjoyed spending time assisting with her care while in assisted living. She was known for her big smile and heart full of love. She quickly became a friend to all who met her.

Nancy was once a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and currently belonged to the Lighthouse Church fellowship in Minot.

Her loving family includes , husband, Reg Parker, Minot; children, Melissa (Jon) VanDeventer, Minot, Michelle (Michael) Harnist, Minot and Michael (Laura) Grueneberg, Parkersburg, WV; ; step children David Parker and Allison Parker; grandchildren, Carson VanDeventer, Marcus Grueneberg, Madison VanDeventer, Lucas Grueneberg, Mikhal Grueneberg and Matthias Grueneberg; siblings, Dianne (Andrew) Freed, Minot and Dennis (Cindy) DeGree of Las Vegas, NV; nephews Jaison Freed, Ashley Freed, Jack DeGree, Eddie DeGree and numerous cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Fern DeGree and son in law, Shawn Arnold.

Celebration of Life service: Friday , May 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at West Minot Church of God, Minot, ND.  A livestream of the service can be accessed by going to https://www.facebook.com/westminot
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation: Thursday, May 13 th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
