Myla Eunice Danielson , 90, 510 5th Ave. N.W. - Minot, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at the Dow Rummel Retirement Village in Sioux Falls, SD.
Myla was born to Alfred C. and Anna Pearl (Arnold) Torgerson on November 19, 1915, at Des Lacs, ND. In 1919, the family moved to Berthold, ND where Mr. Torgerson became President of the Bank of Berthold. She was raised in Berthold and graduated from Berthold High school in 1933.
She attended Minot State University from 1933-1935 and graduated with a Standard Teaching Certificate. She taught one year in a rural school south of Berthold. She attended Business College in Fargo, ND and then worked for General Mills, Inc in Minneapolis, MN as a secretary in the farm services department.
Myla married Gordon E. Danielson on April 17, 1938, in Colfax, WI. They made their home in Minot, ND where he worked as a brakeman and later conductor for Burlington Northern Railway.
Myla was a member of First Lutheran Church- Minot, its Ladies Aid, various church circles, bible studies, and she taught Sunday school for many years. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star, Shrine Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and was a charter member of the Minot Elkettes. She especially enjoyed playing Bingo as well as various card games and was a member of the Duplicate Bridge Club in Minot. Her hobbies were playing bridge, sewing, baking, and crocheting.
Myla's loving family includes her husband of 68 years Gordon, Sioux Falls, SD; Daughter: Nancy Espy, Sun Lakes, AZ; Sons: Peter (Rogene) Danielson, Valley, NE, and David (Betsy) Danielson, Sioux Falls, SD; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; Sister: Pearl Gale, Minneapolis, MN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Myla was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Faye Washburn and brothers: Arnold and Kenneth Torgerson.

: Saturday, July 22, 2006, in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Public Reception
: Saturday, July 22, 2006, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Grand International Inn - Minot.
Visitation
: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign a memorial register book on Friday from Noon until 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot
