Millie Scott, 77, 9900 42nd Street S.E. Minot, died Thursday, September 7, 2006, in a Minot nursing home.
Millie was born December 28, 1928, in Lodgepole, SD, to Haakon and Marta (Underland) Skjoldal. She was raised on a farm near Lemmon, SD, and was educated in the public school system. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a telephone operator in Lemmon.
Millie was united in marriage to Sheldon 'Scotty' Scott on July 2, 1946, in Miles City, MT. This union was blessed with three beautiful daughters, whom she dedicated her life to sharing her love, with a gentle and nurturing spirit over the years. They made their home in Lemmon, SD, until moving to Minot, ND, in 1949. Millie and Sheldon were instrumental in helping to establish the Bible Restoration Fellowship Church and Learning Center in 1979. She maintained an active role in the church over the years, helping Sheldon serve as pastor of the church until his death in February 15, 1993. Following her husband's death and over the years, she has remained dedicated to the church enjoying activities, fellowship, and music.
She was an antique collector and enjoyed gardening, ceramics, bowling in her younger years, and redecorating her homes. Millie always carried a smile. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a deep love for all of the family pets.
Millie will be greatly missed by her loving family, but we are comforted knowing she is now in Heaven with Jesus, and her husband, Scotty and those who have gone before.
