Mildred Kvigne , 96, Minot, formerly of Crosby, died Monday, September 19, 2016 in her home.
Mildred was born on February 10, 1920 in Noonan, ND to William and Olive (Hunter) McKibben. She was raised and educated in Noonan, and graduating from Noonan High School in 1937.
Mildred was united in marriage to Clarence Kvigne on December of 1943 at Plentywood, MT. They made their home on a farm South of Ambrose in Berg Township before moving to Crosby in 1949. It was there that they raised their two children. Mildred was employed at Easton Drug and J-Co Drug in Crosby for many years. Clarence died in 1964.
Mildred moved to Minot in 1979 to be closer to her two children and their families. Over the years, Mildred lived next door to Terry, then Nichole, and finally Molly and blessed their lives immeasurably. She was a member of the Pentecostal faith. She was an animal lover, enjoyed baking, bird watching, tending to her flowers, was an avid reader, and was known to make some of the best fried chicken and potato salad around.
Mildred in survived by: her children, Clarice (Ken) Billings and Terry (Kari) Kvigne both of Minot; grandchildren, Lanny Billings, Devin (Amy) Billings, Cody (Lyn) Billings, Nichole (Tony) Kvigne, Molly (Mitchell) Kvigne and T. Mitchell (Tiffany) Kvigne; 5 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; brothers, Bill, Henry and Lyle; and sisters, Hattie, Fannie and Sarah.
Memorial Gathering:
Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in Northland Harvest Church, 140 Souris Drive, Minot.
Memorials:
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to the Souris Valley Animal Shelter.
