Obituary

Mildred Crawford, 91, Minot, formerly of the Simcoe area, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Mildred was born December 4, 1917 at Simcoe, North Dakota, the daughter of Otis and Annie (Knutson) Lee. She was raised and educated at Simcoe and united in marriage to Robert Crawford on October 18, 1941 at Cheyenne, Wyoming.

They lived at Cheyenne, Tacoma, WA, and Grass Valley, CA , while Robert was stationed overseas with the military. After Robert received his honorable discharge, they returned to Minot, where they raised their two children. Mildred had worked at Montgomery Wards Co.,while they lived in Tacoma. Robert died February 4, 2009.

Mildred was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church, Minot. She enjoyed baking and cooking, along with doing embroidery work, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She loved to play card games, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Her loving family includes : Daughter: Sheryl (Larry) Franklin, Mina, SD; Grandchildren, Tammy Liebelt, Tiffany Wilson, Erick Crawford and Sandy Crawford; Great-Grandchildren: Kayla and Austin Liebelt, Parker and Peri Wilson; Sisters: Bertha Olson, Irene Parge and Hazel Thomas, all of Minot. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary and brother, Albert.

Funeral service : Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 10:30a.m. in First Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation:
Monday from 2:00-7:00pm in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church, Minot.
