Michael Marlon Wallace , 52, Minot, formerly of Salisbury, MD, died Monday, March 12, 2007, in a Minot hospital.
Michael was born July 25, 1954, in Salisbury, MD, the son of Franklin and Joanne (Handy) Wallace. He was raised and educated in Salisbury, graduating in 1972. Michael enlisted the U.S. Air Force on January 30, 1975. He served his country until January 29, 1979, when he was honorably discharged. Through the G.I. Bill, Michael trained to become a dental technician.
Michael was united in marriage to Dianne Lund, on December 17, 1976, in Minot. Michael and Dianne lived in Minot for the past thirty years, where he worked as a dental technician, most recently for Dunn Diehl Dental for the past two years.
Michael enjoyed cooking, playing racquetball with his wife, and music, where he was a member of many local bands serving as their drummer. Michael was a quiet, gentle man, and his family was most important to him. Michael's final act was to give the gift of life through organ/tissue donation.
Surviving family includes: Wife: Dianne, Minot; Daughters: Danielle Wallace, Colorado Springs, CO, and Michelle (Jeff) Tanberg, Minot; Aunt: Jean; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Greg Wallace.
Funeral:
Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., in First Presbyterian Church, Minot;
Visitation:
Friday, March 16, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
