Obituary

Maynard Brown, 68, Minot and formerly of Berthold and Peterson, MN, entered eternal life on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in his home.

Maynard Brown was born on January 20, 1940 in Minot, ND to Harry and Mabel (Pederson) Brown. He grew up on the family farm in Berthold, ND. He was once married to Donna Murphy, whom he married on June 21, 1958.

He farmed and ranched in the Berthold area until 1978, farmed and ranched in the White Earth area from 1978 to 1980 and then moved to Rushford, MN where he farmed, ranched and worked construction until his retirement in 2004. After retirement Maynard moved back to the Minot area and worked part time for Sundry Gravel.

Maynard was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Minot. He was an active Moose Lodge member, where he enjoyed daily card games, pool, and other activities. Maynard will be missed by all who shared in his life.

Surviving family includes: Sons: Todd (Cindy) Brown, Blaisdell, ND, Dale (Michelle) Brown, Blaisdell, ND and Dustin (Angie) Brown, Rushford, MN; Daughters: Jamie (Stan) Johnston, Belfield, ND and Jodie (Dean) Fox, Pocatello, ID; Grandchildren: Katie, Sarah, and Jedd, Dallas, Tyler, Copper, and Raven, Jerimia, Jarrett, Courtney, and Hannah, Justin, and Shasta and Casey; Great-Grandson: Kayden; Significant other: Sally Thompson; Brothers, Ralph Sr., Joe, Jack, and Darrel Brown; Sisters: Jeanette Schultz and Ruth Berg, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, three brothers, and two grandchildren.

Funeral Mass : Friday, June 6, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot;
Public Prayer Service
: Thursday, June 5, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot;
Interment
: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot;
Visitation
: Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot;
Memorials
are preferred to Trinity Hospice or to the Moose Lodge both of Minot.
