Matthew Lee Hartung, age 38 of Bismarck, formerly of Minot, passed away unexpectedly December 11, 2020.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge – 400 9 ^th St. NW, Minot.

Matthew was born June 17, 1982 in Minot, North Dakota to James and Shirley (Stenvold) Hartung. He has one son James William Hartung, age 14, in Arizona whom he loved very much. They enjoyed spending time together and especially shared the love of riding motorcycles together.

Matthew grew up in Minot, graduating in 2001. He had worked as a welder, in motorcycle repair and as a mechanic. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, hunting and target shooting.

Matthew is survived by his son James Hartung, parents James and Shirley Hartung, his sister Jessica (Steven) Howery and their children Kadence, Madison, Jaxson and Ryker; Half-brothers Cody (Shirley) Hartung, Ion (Marisol) Hartung and Jason (Debbie) Hartung. As well as many loving cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal grandparents Don and Hazel Hartung; Maternal grandparents Joseph and Deloris Stenvold and Uncles Dewayne and Thomas Stenvold.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge – 400 9 ^th St. NW, Minot.
