MaryLou Crawford , 92, Minot, died on January 15th in her home.
MaryLou Helen was born May 18, 1931 in Denver, CO, the daughter of Francis and Mary (Jaramillo) Gutierrez. She was raised and educated in Denver, CO.
MaryLou was united in marriage to James Crawford on July 29, 1952 in Las Cruces, NM. With James being in the military, they lived in various places such as Texas, California, Newfoundland, and Colorado. James was stationed at Minot Air Force Base in 1968, and following his retirement from the Air Force, they made Minot their permanent home. James died in 2003.
MaryLou worked with Jim at Mackley Construction as a bookkeeper for seven years. She was also employed as a secretary and CCD Coordinator and a member at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. MaryLou was a member of Knights of Columbus Ladies Group and American Businesswomen's Association (ABWA). She was also a member of the Music Boosters and the PTA for various Minot Schools, the Red Cross and the Squadron Wives Club at Minot Air Force Base. MaryLou was once a contestant for Mrs. Minot Air Force Base and served as a Boy Scout leader and den mother for several years.
MaryLou enjoyed reading, listening to music, and spending time with her grandkids.
MaryLou's loving family includes her children Theresa Crawford, Sacramento, CA; Lawrence (Charlene) Crawford, Minot; Stephen (Ann) Crawford, Temple, TX; James Crawford, Mandan; and Paula (Dave) Anderson, Elko, MN, grandchildren: Michael Senechal, Jesse Crawford, Sarah Crawford, Stephanie Kinnell, Spenser Kinnell, James Crawford, Elizabeth Kuban, Piper Anderson, and John Anderson. Six great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, sister Mabel Gutierrez, Denver, CO and numerous nieces and nephews.
MaryLou was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, an infant son, and sister Frances Gutierrez.

Tuesday from 3:00 – 5:00 in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment
: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan - Later in the Spring 2024
