Obituary

Mary Ann Yecoshenko, 57, Butte, ND, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006, in her home.

Mary Bain was born October 15, 1949, in Los Angeles, CA, to Robert and Jimmie (Moss) Bain. She was raised and educated in Whittier, CA and later graduated from Cal High School in 1967.

Following her formal education, Mary was employed at various restaurants as a waitress in California, and continued to live in the Los Angeles area until 1977. Mary moved to Riverside County, CA and continued her employment in the restaurant industry for many years.

In March of 1989, she moved to Butte, ND. Mary was united in marriage to Robert Yecoshenko on March 3, 1989 at Pahrump, NV. They made their home in Butte, where she managed the "Strawberry Cooler" at Strawberry Lake near Butte, ND, for several years. Mary always enjoyed meeting people and loved her jobs within North Dakota. Mary also was employed as a waitress in Drake, ND, at a local restaurant.

Mary attended Turtle Lake Baptist Church, served as an honorary member of the Moose Lodge in California and also gained membership with the American Legion Auxiliary in Butte.

She enjoyed seam stressing, reading, and loved to garden, taking a special interest in the part of canning fruits and vegetables.

She is survived by: Husband of 17 years, Robert Yecoshenko, Butte, ND; Children: John J. Ross, San Diego, CA, Patrick (Donna) Ross, Mandan, ND, Jason (Lori) Yecoshenko, Duluth, MN, and Peter Yecoshenko, Duluth, MN; Grandchildren: Patrick Jr, Christopher, Adam, Jason, Fayth, Kristyanna and Brock Yecoshenko, Evan Ross; Mother: Jimmie Bain, Pahrump, NV; Siblings: Patti Tillman, Riverside, CA, Peggy (Larry) Tudor, Pahrump, NV, and Bill (Mickie) Bain, Baytown, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Mike Bain.

Funeral: Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the American Legion Hall, Butte, ND;
Visitation:
There will be no reviewal, however, family and friends are invited to sign a memorial register book on Monday, November 13, 2006 from Noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home of Minot and one hour prior to the start of the service.
Memorials:
In lieu of plants and flowers, the family prefers memorials.
