Obituary

Martha Lee Moreland, 90, of Minot, formerly of Ozark, AK, St. David, AZ and Bottineau, ND, died peacefully Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at the Trinity nursing home in Minot.

Marthawas born June 3, 1919 on the family farm near Scotsguard, Saskatchewan, Canada, she was the daughter of Anton and Caroline (Johannson) Anderson. She attended school inScotsguard and moved toWaskada, Manitobain 1939. In 1940 she wasmarriedto Edwin Lee of rural Bottineau ND. They made their home on the Lee family farm where they raised small grains and were the parents of two daughters Carolyn and Juliet Ann. Martha was divorced from Edwin in 1964, moved to St David, Arizona and married Ross Moreland in1965. Edwin Lee passed in 1980 and Ross died in 1992. She moved to Minot in 2001.

Marthaenjoyed her pets, gardening, cooking, canning andembroidery.

Marthais survived by: daughter: Carol (Lee) Smith of Regina, Sask.,grandchildren: JD Larson of Velva, ND, Holly (Larson) Luther of Mino,t ND and Joe Larson of Excelsior, MN; nine great-grandchildren and eightgreat-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marthawas preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Edwin and Ross; daughter Juliet Ann; brothers, Andy, Art, Earl, Clarence and Harry; sisters, Alice, Sylvia and Mae.

Memorial service to be held on the spring of 2010 at Lesje Lutheran Church, rural Souris.
Interment
will be in Oak Creek Cemetery, Bottineau, ND.
Visitation
and reviewal Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
