Marlene Molgard, 84, Minot died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in a Minot healthcare center.

Marlene was born on May 18, 1930 in Great Falls, MT to Lee and Alice (Hunter) Daly. She was reared on a farm near Kalispell, MT and attended school in the LaSalle Township Rural School prior to graduating from Kalispell High School in 1948. As a young adult she was employed as a telephone operator in Kalispell and Columbia Falls, MT.

Marlene married Wayne Molgard on March 10, 1956 in Columbia Falls, MT. They made their home at various places in the northwestern United States where her husband was stationed with the Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroad. The family moved to Minot in 1967 when he was transferred here. Wayne died on December 8, 2011.

Marlene was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and its women's organization. She especially enjoyed quilting, crocheting, travel and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Marlene's loving family includes her children: Susan Nagel of Lehi, Utah and Janel (Brian) Winkels of Minot; grandchildren: Gregory Murphy, Scott (Whitney) Murphy, Brett Winkels (fiance Cassie), Jenna Winkels and Kris Winkels (special friend Samantha); great grandchild: Madison; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Michelle, grandson: Christopher Nagel, great grandson: Brayden Winkels, sister: Norma Daly, nephew: Rodney Molgard and nieces: Pam and Kathy Molgard.

Celebration of the Life of Marlene Molgard: Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home.

Interment: Rose hill Memorial Park - Minot.

Visitation: Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.

Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
