There will be a celebration of life service for Marlie on Saturday, January 16, 2021 beginning at Noon at the Ranger Lounge, Minot.

Marlan Lillemon , 67, Minot, died Sunday, January 3, 2021 in his home.

Marlan was born May 26, 1953 in Minot, ND to Ernest and Bonnie (Hanson) Lillemon. He grew up and completed his education in Minot as a graduate of Minot High School in 1971.

Marlan enlisted in the US Navy on 8/30/1971 and honorably served his country until his discharge in 1975. During his service, he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star and the Combat Action Badge for his service aboard USS Waddell in 1972. He returned to North Dakota.

Marlan worked at Gaffaney's of Minot as a service manager for twenty-three years. In addition to his full-time employment, he also worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years.

Marlan was united in marriage to Kristi Kettering on November 1, 2003. They made their home in Minot.

Marlan was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, spending in the great outdoors, along with spending time with his family and many friends.

Marlan is survived by :  his loving wife, Kristi, Minot; children Nathan Lillemon, Matthew Lillemon, Christopher Kettering, DE and Jessica Kettering, Minot, ND; siblings, Steven (Editha) Lillemon, Colorado Springs, CO, David (Diane) Lillemon, Austin, MN and Mark (Kathy) Lillemon, Denver, CO; several grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marlan was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Garrold 'Gary' Lillemon.
