Mark Jerome Hager, 44, Minot, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at his home.
Mark was born May 5, 1972 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Jerome and Sherri (Odegard) Hager. He was baptized on October 1, 1972 at First Lutheran Church in Minot. He moved with his family to Salt Lake City, Utah when he was 8 years old and graduated from Olympus High School there in 1990.
Mark returned to Minot in 1990 and was employed throughout the years with Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald's, Dots Pretzels in Velva and most recently with the Community Action program in Minot, where he did maintenance work and various other jobs.
Mark was an active member at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to music. He was a big fan of the Star Wars movies, he enjoyed watching his favorite television programs, camping, and traveling to many of the U.S. scenic sites. He loved animals and would often watch pets for others. He enjoyed helping other people, especially for several individuals in the Henry Tower. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always could be seen with a smile on his face. Mark loved the Holiday's and playing card games with family.
His loving family includes , mother, Sherri Odegard, Velva; father, Jerry (Karen)) Hager, Minot; son, Zane Michael Hager, Utah; grandmother: Palma Odegard, Minot; sister, Miranda Hager, Surrey, ND; brother, Luke (Lupita) Hager, Fargo; uncles, Doug (Barb) Odegard, Velva, Matt (Cory) Odegard, Wilton, Larry (Diane) Goodman, Minot; aunts, Linda (Melvin) Venstad, Riverdale, ND, Ruby (Dwane) Van Winkle, Burlington, Pam (Donovan) Wagner, Bismarck, Melissa (Neil) Klein, Norwich, Emily (Greg) Holm, Crystal, ND, Helen Dravaland, Ashley, ND, Rose Moore, Minnesota.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie & George Hager and Allan Odegard; uncle, Henry Hager.
Celebration of Life service:
Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment:
Granville Community Cemetery, Granville, ND, later in the Spring of 2017
Visitation:
Wednesday one hour prior to the service in the Church.
