Mark S. Gamiles, 55, Selz, formerly of Washington, died April 22, 2014 in a Minot hospital.

Mark Gamiles was born the first of two children to James and Doretta (Detwiler) Gamiles on September 7, 1958 in Auburn, Washington. He was raised and educated in the Kent and later the Cle Elum communities of Washington.

He enjoyed camping and fishing and everything to do with the outdoors. This was reflected in his employment in security for the US Forest Service for many years out of the Yakima, WA office.

In 2003, he and his family moved to Selz, ND. He will be missed by all who shared in his life and remembered for his kind spirit.

His loving family includes his mother, Doretta Gamiles, Selz, ND, sister, Cindy (Terry) Foren, Selz, ND, nephews, Pedro and Brandon Foren, many great nieces and great nephews, aunts, Gretchen Montieth and Barbara Weaver; uncles, Harry Detwiler and Dave (Carol) Detwiler along with many cousins.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, James in 2009.

A private service was held by the family with interment in the Manfred Community Cemetery, rural Manfred, ND.
