Obituary

Mark Eide, 52, Minot, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2007, in his home.

Mark was born March 28, 1955, in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Earl and Jeannine (Lundquist) Eide. Earl passed away two years later in a tractor accident near Lake Darling. Mark was raised and educated in Minot, where he was part of the class that was first to graduate from Magic City Campus, Minot High School in 1974. While attending high school Mark worked for his grandfather, Arno Luehe at Hertz-Rent-A-Car, and drove crews for the Burlington Northern Railroad. He also helped his grandmother, Thelma Luehe with her antique shop until her passing. After graduation, Mark moved to Moorhead, MN and worked as an assistant manager with KFC.

Mark attended Midwestern School of Technology, Minot and Capital Commercial College, in Bismarck. He later graduated from Minot State University in 1989, with a B.A. in Business Administration, management, and marketing. After graduating from MSU, he worked for Payless Shoes as a Store Manager Trainee, in Minneapolis, MN. He later returned to Minot to take care of his grandmother. Mark worked at Wal-Mart for the past sixteen years as a cashier.

Mark enjoyed antiques, cars, dancing, singing, going to auction sales, and visiting with family and friends.

Surviving family includes: Sisters: Doreen (Donavon) Gutknecht, Bismarck and Anita (John) Khin, Marietta, GA; Brother: Avery Lundquist, Watertown, NY; Nephew: Charlie Khin, Marietta, GA, and several cousins.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral: Saturday, May 12, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment:
Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Surrey.
Visitation:
Friday, May 11, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
