Obituary

Marjorie Ann Davy , 94, Rural Des Lacs, died Thursday, October 15, 2020 at her son's home surrounded by her loving family, hospice and visiting angels.

Marjorie was born March 7, 1926 in Burlington, North Dakota the daughter of Edward and Anna (Musch) McAfee. She was raised and educated in Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School in 1944.

Marjorie was united in marriage to Carl Davy on July 18, 1944. They made their home on the Davy family farmstead in Des Lacs Township, where she assisted with the family operations.   They raised small grains and cattle. Along with raising five children, she also attended and graduated from Jack's Beauty School and received her certification.  She taught at Josef's School of Hair Design for 22 years. Carl died in March of 1993.

Marjorie moved to Henderson, Nevada, where she lived with her brother Bill. She was employed at a local business there and also did volunteer work. She returned to Burlington in 2009 and was employed at the Goodwill Store in Minot part time.

She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.  She enjoyed sewing, baking, reading and traveling.

Her loving family includes , children, Sandra (Randy) Foell, Burlington, ND, Douglas Davy, Las Vegas, NV, Carla (Gary) Togstad, Casper, WY and Patrick (Lynda) Davy, Burlington, ND;  10 grandchildren to include: Schannan Oen (Dennis Steen), Dusty (Kristi) Foell, Kristy (Jason) Bussey, Darcy Johnson, Nichole (Donny Carelli) Griek, Travis (Dawn) Togstad, Mark Togstad, Terryn (Natalie) Davy, Brandyn Davy and Justyn Davy; 16 great grandchildren to include: Dallas (Morgan) Oen, Levi Oen, Rylie Oen, Elise Foell, Reid Foell, Rhyen Foell, Jevin Greenwood, Gavin Greenwood, Rayna Johnson, Ramzy Johnson, Jaida Brown, Payton Brown, Jonathon Togstad, Emily Togstad, Abigail Togstad, Ivy Davy and Kimber Davy; 2 great-great grandchildren to include: Wrenley Oen and Addison Oen along with her siblings, Dale McAfee, Milbray, CA, Karen Strata, Cosmopolis, WA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl, son, Gregory, along with her siblings, Harold, William, Hazel, Edna, Kathleen, LaDonna, Tom and Gary.

Mass of Christian Burial : 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2020 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Due to the pandemic please follow social distancing guidelines.
Interment: Rolling Green Cemetery, Rural Des Lacs, ND
Public Visitation: Friday, one hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred to Rolling Green Cemetery, the Salvation Army or Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry.
