Obituary

Marjorie Bridget Bessette , 75, 1405 8th St. N.W. #3 Minot, died Friday, May 25, 2007 in a Minot Hospital.

Marjorie was born December 12, 1931 at Taunton, Massachusetts the daughter of Charles and Bridget (Driscoll) McMann. She was raised and educated in Taunton.

Morjorie united in marriage to Samuel Bessette on January 27, 1949 at Taunton. They lived at various military bases throughout the United States while Samuel was serving in the US Air Force. They moved to Minot in 1969, and had continued to make their home in Minot throughout the years. Samuel died July 2, 1994.

Marge greeted the world with an open heart and unconditional love. She made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Marge was eager to share anything with you- except her secret recipe for her famous Italian red sauce. Her passions in life were friends and family, cooking and her unique artistry in cake decorating. Marge enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. While she thought she could sneak away without her children knowing, she could not get away with much because everybody knew Marge. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren and will be forever missed. Marge loved her most recent job as a greeter for McDonald's on South Broadway.

and was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church.

Her loving family includes : Sons: Gerald (Kathy) Bessette, Wichita Falls, TX; Don Bessette and his former wife: Sherry, Minot; Dennis (Connie) Bessette, Minot, Tom Bessette, Minot. Daughters: LuLu Porter and her companion, Jim Elmquist, Bismarck; Patricia (Mark) Butz, Detroit Lakes, MN and Christine (Sean) Farley, White Lake, MI; Grandchildren: Jennifer (Rob) Spangle, Jodi (Jason) Henke, Ryan (Ginger) Bessette, Nicole (Derek) Bischof, Chelsea Bessette, Mercedes Porter, Brock Plemel, Lena Loftsgard, Regan Bessette, Callea Butz, John Ryan Bessette, Ian and Alec Farley and Chasnea Butz; Great Grandchildren: Sam, Sage and Sadie Bessette, Christian and Jonathan Spangle and Logan Bischof.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her beloved sister, Elizabeth Levesque.

Mass of Christian Burial : Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 11:00am in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.
Vigil Prayer service
: Monday, May 28, 2007 at 6:00pm in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation:
Monday from Noon-5:00pm in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association or an organization of the donors choice.
