Marion Emerson, 93, Minot, died Sunday, November 26, 2017, in a Minot nursing home.

Marion was born July 9, 1924, in Wabek, ND to Herman and Martha (Ulledahl) Nyquist. She spent her younger years and attended school in Wabek.

Marion was united in marriage to William Emerson on August 10, 1942, in Sidney, Montana. They made their first home on the farm near Ryder, ND where they raised small grains and dairy cattle. They moved to Minot in 1947.

Her loving family includes her children, William 'Sonny' Emerson, Surrey, ND, Karen (Tom) Krebsbach, Max, ND and Judy (Roger) Behm, Minot; grandchildren, Charles Kirk, Minot, Kerrie (Darryle) Jones, Alabama, Jeff Emerson, Surrey, ND, Matt (Alicia) Emerson, Bismarck, ND, Chris (Denise) Krebsbach, Max, ND, Robby Krebsbach, Minot, ND, Jennifer Emerson, Washington, Steve (Isabelle) Behm, Minnesota, Nick (Angie) Behm, Illinois and Michelle Behm, California; 20 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, sisters, Myrtle Haugen and Cora Wilcox, a niece, Dorothy Johnson and an infant great grandson and many cousins.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Our Redeemer's Church, Minot, ND
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation: Friday, December 1, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports in Minot.
