Obituary

Marilyn Elaine Knuth, 86, Fargo and formerly of Minot and Harvey died on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Bethany Retirement Living Home surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born on July 28, 1929 in Harvey, ND to Edwin and Hilda (Schimke) Winter. She was reared on a farm in Eigenheim Township of Wells County near Harvey, attended rural schools and graduated from Harvey High School in 1948. As a young adult she was employed at the First State Bank in Harvey prior to moving to Minot in 1950 where she was employed at Ellison's Department Store.

Marilyn married Orlin Knuth on May 21, 1953 in Harvey. They made their home in Minot where she was employed at Parker Motors and at First National Bank as well as in Martin and Napoleon where Orlin was a teacher prior to returning to Minot in 1963 where they lived until August 2011 when they moved to Fargo to be closer to their son and his family.

Marilyn was a member of the First Baptist Church - Minot and its XYZ Senior organization. Also, she was an honorary member of the Minot PTA and was a volunteer for the Service with Education organization. She especially enjoyed baking, gardening, crocheting, traveling and reading.

Marilyn's loving family includes her son and daughter-in-law: Todd and Darla Knuth of Fargo and grandchildren: Heath and Morgan Knuth.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Celebration of the Life of Marilyn Knuth: Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in First Baptist Church - Minot.

Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.

Visitation: Monday, August 24, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.

Memorials are preferred to First Baptist Church, Minot.
