Obituary

Marilyn J. Goldade, 79, Minot, formerly of Bismarck, died Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Marilyn was born August 17, 1937 at McClusky, North Dakota the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Engel) Kluck. She was raised and educated near Denhoff and graduated from Denhoff High School in 1955. She attended Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho for one year. She returned to North Dakota and moved to Bismarck.

Marilyn was united in marriage to Richard Goldade on August 30, 1958 at Bismarck. She was employed there as a draftsman for the ND Highway Department from 1956-1960. In 1961, she went to work for the ND State Tax department until 1966, when they moved to Valley City. They returned to Bismarck a short time after, where she went to work for Tractor Supply from 1968-1973. She and Richard moved to Minot in 1973, continuing employment with Tractor Supply until 1975.

She and Richard both went to work for D & M Bookkeeping service from 1975-1980. She later went to work at Gaffaney's in 1980, working there until 2014 when she retired.

Marilyn was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Minot. She was active within the Church in many areas, which included treasurer and teaching Sunday School. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Marilyn's loving family includes , husband 58 years, Richard; daughter, Carla (Randy) Carlson, Minot, son, Elon (Lydia) Goldade, Olathe, KS; 6 grandchildren to include, Melita (Travis) Dalby, Darryl (Andrea) Cross, Timothy (Carissa) Cross, Christopher Carlson, Kala Goldade & Bryce (Sydney) Goldade; great grandchildren, Jesse & Tyler Dalby, Peyton & Henley Cross and Jillian Cross; siblings Vernon (Florence) Kluck, Sheridan, WY, Gerald (Venus) Kluck, Allyn, WA, James Kluck, Yuma, AZ, Donald (Donna) Kluck, Lino Lakes, MN & Darlene (Kurt) Blickensderfer, Mott, ND; sister-in-law, Alvarine Kluck of Mineral Wells, Texas and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Everett and Elmer, great grandchild, Emilee Nicole Dalby and sisters-in-law, Lila Kluck and Donna Kluck.

Celebration of Life service: Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in First Church of the Nazarene, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot

Visitation: Monday, March 27th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred to First Church of the Nazarene or an organization of the donor's choice.
