Marilyn Jane Gartner, 70, of Minot, died at her Minot residence on Thursday, January 14, 2021 with her family at her side.

Marilyn Stuber was born the daughter of August and Hilda (Springer) Stuber at Harvey, ND on June 5, 1950. She was raised and educated in Minot and a graduate of Minot High School.

Marilyn was united in marriage to Kenneth H. Gartner on May 6, 1972 in Minot. To this union of 48 years two sons; Christopher and Corey were born. Marilyn was devoted to her family, raised her sons and also worked in Minot as a waitress for many years.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Kenneth, two sons; Christopher (Kylie) Gartner and their children Kody and Connor, and Corey Gartner all of Minot. Two sisters: Diane Cina, Pleasant Prairie, WI and Kathy (Dean) Tarasenko, of Phoenix, AZ, two sisters-in-law; Nancy and (Kerry) Fines, of Garrison, ND and Beverly (Tim) Lozensky, of Max, ND.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and brother, Gary.

A community book signing will be held on Monday, January 18, from 3pm until 5 pm at the Thomas Family Funeral Home.

Private family graveside service will be held at Rosehill Memorial Park in Minot.

Memorials in Marilyn's memory may be shared to the charity of the donor's choice.
